For experienced technology leaders who want their professional achievements independently assessed and formally recognised.

Apply for Accreditation

For most experienced technology leaders, the things that really define your career don't come with a certificate attached.

You might have led a major transformation, integrated two companies after an acquisition, rebuilt a failing technology function, moved an organisation to the cloud, recovered a programme that was going badly wrong, built a team from scratch or persuaded a board to make a difficult investment.

Those are often the experiences that make you a better technology leader. But they're also surprisingly difficult to show on a CV.

A CV might say:

“Led a major technology transformation.”

But that doesn't tell you very much.

How big was it? What was at risk? How difficult was the starting position? How many people were involved? What decisions did you personally make? What changed for the business as a result?

In other words:

So what?

That's particularly important when the person reading your CV isn't a technologist. A recruiter, CEO, board member or investor may recognise the words, but not necessarily understand the scale or complexity of what was involved.

Sometimes it takes another experienced independent technology leader to look at what you've done and say:

“Actually, that's significant. Here's why.”

That's the thinking behind the Validated Technology Leadership Accreditation.

Rather than asking what courses you've attended or what certificates you've collected, we look at the evidence of what you've actually achieved during your career.

Your CV and career experience are reviewed by experienced technology specialists who understand the context behind technology leadership, the complexity, scale, risk, investment, people and business outcomes involved.

We then help to exemplify that experience: making clearer not just what you did, but why it mattered and what it demonstrates about you as a technology leader.

The result is an independently validated CV or résumé that gives a recruiter, employer, CEO or board something much more useful than a list of job titles and responsibilities.

It helps answer the question:

“What has this person actually achieved — and how significant was it?”

Because after a certain point in a technology career, your most valuable qualification isn't necessarily another certificate.

It's what you've actually done.

How it works

The accreditation has been developed drawing upon the extensive experience of technology leaders across a wide range of industry sectors, and is assessed by individuals currently occupying technology C-Suite positions rather than by academic review alone.

Rather than requiring a period of study, the accreditation assesses the capability you have already demonstrated in senior technology roles — strategy, leadership, delivery and innovation — and validates it against a consistent international standard.

You are supported throughout by an assessor who helps you assemble the evidence required, so the process fits around your professional and personal commitments.

On successful assessment you receive a formal certificate together with a structured Evidence Portfolio that can be shared with employers, boards and executive recruiters.

The Accreditation Award

The certificate and accreditation mark are issued on successful completion of the assessment, alongside your Evidence Portfolio.

The award is recognised internationally and may be displayed on your CV, résumé and professional profiles as evidence of independently validated technology leadership experience.

A CV tells us what you've done. We explore what sits behind it.

A CV or résumé can tell a recruiter, CEO or board where you have worked and the positions you have held, but it rarely reveals the true depth of your technology expertise or the significance of what you have achieved.

Transformations led, complex technologies mastered, teams built, investment managed, boards influenced, industries shaped and business-critical challenges solved can be difficult for those outside technology to fully recognise or evaluate.

Sometimes it takes an experienced technology leader to truly understand the experience and capability of another.

What Makes This Different?

Distinction

What Makes This
Different?

01

Not simply what you've learned

Professional capability should not be measured solely by the courses attended or certificates collected throughout a career.

02

What you've actually delivered

We explore the transformations, programmes, technologies, teams, investments and business challenges that have shaped your professional experience.

03

What you've learned along the way

Experience is also about judgement — understanding what worked, what didn't, the decisions you made and what those experiences taught you as a technology leader.
